Though currently residing in New York, Olivia graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Media Studies (Honours) and a Film and Television major. Olivia maintains a passion for all things media production.
With the intention of studying media to work in radio, Olivia soon found her strengths in film and television as a Producer, Director, Assistant Director, Production Manager and Editor.
Her experience ranges from short films to documentaries to live television to corporate productions and more.
In 2013, Olivia completed an internship at Channel 31 in Melbourne where she experienced the inner workings of the small community television network.
In the same year she completed a video production internship at the inaugural Melbourne Web Fest where her responsibilities included the management of multi-camera video documentation of the festival's panel discussions, live music and awards ceremony. She was also Assistant Director to Subclass 417, a web series produced in conjunction with the festival.
In 2014, Olivia's role as Producer and 1st Assistant Director of an independent short film resulted in a trip to France where Happy Melancholy featured in the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival's Court Métrage (Short Film Corner) in May.
Before moving to New York, Olivia completed her Honours thesis in Melbourne; exploring the quantity and quality of queer characters within prime-time commercial dramas on Australian television, and the potential effects of this on the queer community. Alongside this she worked in the ingest and presentation departments of television network Channel 31, and produced a 6-part talk show series for the station.
Since moving to Manhattan in 2015, Olivia has broadened her experience in media by taking on a role as Associate Producer in the Integrated Production department of global advertising agency TBWA\Chiat\Day New York.
